ABOUT OUR PRODUCTS

Founded in 2013 in Stellenbosch, Urban Supply began as a high school dream and has grown into a brand loved by South Africans nationwide. It all started with importing CHPO products – sunglasses and watches – and wholesaling them to small stores and major retailers alike. As demand grew, so did our vision. We began experimenting with products from various suppliers, one of which would soon become our signature: sun hats.

We quickly saw that the market lacked an affordable, high-quality sun hat with proper sun protection. Most sun hats with cancer certification were priced out of reach for many consumers, so we set out to change that. Today, our sun hats remain the heart of Urban Supply, proudly bearing the CANSA Seal of Recognition, certifying that they offer effective sun protection.

In the years since, our range has expanded. We’ve added a variety of products, including caps, polarized sunglasses, wallets, umbrellas, and unique hat clips, with each product designed to support our mission of combining affordability, quality, and functionality. We’ve also partnered with notable brands like Puckator, Kapten & Son, CHPO, and Miquelrius, bringing their popular products to South Africa.

In 2023, we took an exciting step by investing in local manufacturing through a brand called Bovino. This move supports job creation, allowing us to bring some of our sun hat production home to South Africa. Our goal is to grow our business sustainably, providing both high-quality products and positive social impact. We also offer custom branding options for sun hats and caps, catering to businesses and organisations looking to make their mark. We invested in the latest technology to ensure, that the process from design to the final product is made with superior quality in mind, while maintaining affordable prices.
