ABOUT OUR PRODUCTS
Luminous Ware is a proudly South African apparel brand specialising in naturally fabulous merino wool and mohair knitwear. They create vibrant, unisex accessories and trans-seasonal women's knitwear. They also offer a small range of hand-knitted baby accessories.
WE'D LIKE YOU TO KNOW...
Their knitwear is made in Cape Town by specialist factories and they also collaborate with handknitters for specific collections. They source their beautiful merino wool and mohair yarn from producers in the Eastern Cape.
MEET THE EXHIBITOR
Hanli was raised in a household that cherished merino wool and mohair. Years later, during the 2020 lockdown, she discovered that wearing jerseys made from these fibers brought her real comfort and joy. She started Luminous Ware to share her love of natural fibers and to showcase other local brands, but it pivoted into her own knitwear brand after a life-changing visit to the Karoo Winter Wool Festival.
My dream is to see shops filled with South African merino wool and mohair products, so that we can create jobs, increase skill levels and restore hope and dignity to people all along the supply chain. I believe we truly are stronger together.
