ABOUT OUR PRODUCTS
Ooh la la Artisan Confectionery creates handcrafted award-winning confectionery made in South Africa using the finest ingredients. Our award-winning collection includes French Nougat, Calissons, Artisan Marshmallows, Scottish Fudge, our signature range of salted caramel nut brittles called Pebbles. Every product is crafted in small batches with an uncompromising focus on flavour, quality and beautiful presentation, making them ideal for gifting, retail and specialty food stores.

At Ooh la la, we believe exceptional confectionery begins with exceptional ingredients. We are proud to have received more than 80 UK Great Taste Awards, known as the oscars of the food industry.
All of our products are certified Kosher and Halaal, and do not contain artificial flavours, colours or preservatives. We also have gluten-free, nut-free and vegan-friendly options, making Ooh la la Confectionery suitable for diverse markets.

Founded in 2009, by former Advocate Karen Schneid, Ooh la la Confectionery is a proudly South African, women-owned business.
Welcome to the magical world of Ooh la la.
Our story begins in a little village in Provence, France where one summer’s day a little French confection stole my heart! In my home kitchen, I began making confections… just for my family. Unintentionally, I gained a wider following. The catch was - I was an advocate with a flourishing practice. Confectionery was my secret nocturnal passion. At night, wonderful aromas wafted throughout our home. In the morning, I put on my suit and went to court. One day I found myself arguing in the highest court of the land, and as the judges spoke, my mind kept drifting from cases to confections! It was time to leap from law to my next great love… and so Ooh La La Confectionery was born! From village to kitchen to our magical little factory, this is the story of how I took a leap of faith to make this world a little bit sweeter.
